Hi!

 

I'm Tess Sebastian, an emerging writer, editor and creative practitioner living on Yuggera land. I write memoir, poetry and essays. In my writing practice I draw from personal experiences, and enjoy examining the relationships between people, place and how they interact through current and past socio-political environments and events. Part of my writing practice includes pushing the idea of what a creative writer can be, and how the constraints of the form can be pushed and broken to create a deeper meaning with the audience.

My creative practice and art is an extension of my writing practice in the same way, and often the two overlap one another.

I have a particular interest in artistically examining the many facets of communication, which can be seen in my recent projects Communications Through the Ages, and Touch Sensitive.
