Overview
Touch Sensitive is an interactive work, where audience members are invited to touch a plant, that then reacts with a lighting display, along with nostalgic and iconic communication 'jingles' from different forms of communication platforms from recent digital eras.

The Process
I worked in a multidisciplinary team with two other artists, Louella Michael (visual artist) and
Tessa Heath (musician) to develop and pitch a work for the upcoming Botanica 2024 Festival. We were drawn to working together as our artistic aims for creating interactive and stimulating work aligned with each others goals.
research and met with industry experts in arduino and interactive technology.
Louella, Tessa and myself worked equally toward developing two different prototypes to be exhibited for the Botanica Pitch event, where potential projects were to pitch and showcase work to stakeholders from Museum of Brisbane, and Brisbane City Council.
We delivered a successful pitch with no negative feedback, and produced a working prototype for the stakeholders to engage with to image the work in action. We will know which projects are chosen to part of Botanica 2024, in late 2023.
